Diotrol Holzleim D3 – Diotrol Wood Glue D3
Diotrol Wood glue D3 is a ready-to-use and all-purpose 1-component cold wood glue. Thanks to its excellent resistance and high bonding strength, it is suitable for all indoor and outdoor applications. Especially for windows, front doors, furniture and element construction, as well as for damp rooms (e.g. kitchen, bathroom) and parquet. We recommend our special “M10” setting for use with gluing machines. Diotrol Wood glue D3 is generally discolouration-free and contains neither formaldehyde nor solvents.
Diotrol Wood glue D3 has been tested by ift Rosenheim and fulfils stress class D3 (DIN EN 204/205), DIN EN 14257 (WATT `91) > 7.5 N/mm2 at 80°C, as well as the guideline for bonding window corner joints in timber window construction. Diotrol Wood glue D3 also achieves excellent values in terms of joint tightness and adhesive strength even after weathering and therefore also fulfils the special requirements for laminated profiles for wooden windows.
Technical data
Application area: Indoors and outdoors. All types of wood (hardwood, softwood and exotic woods), chipboard and laminate, as well as veneer and square-sawn timber (except PVC). For example, parquet and laminate laying (tongue and groove gluing), windows, doors, stairs, parquet and furniture (including damp rooms). Surface lamination of wood-based materials with (finish) foils, surface glueing of HPL, CPL.

Packaging: 500ml, 750ml, 6kg, 12kg, 29kg plastic containers
Storage: Can be stored for at least 12 months in well-sealed original containers (plastic). Store in a cool (15 – 25°C) and dry place. Frost-resistant down to -20°C, protect from permafrost.
Condition of substrate: The wood must be clean and free of grease, resin and wax. The ideal processing temperature is between 15 – 20°C. Ideally, the wood moisture content should not exceed 8 – 12%. In outdoor areas: 13% +/-2% (at a relative humidity of 60 – 70%).
Processing: Pot life is approx. 5 – 8 minutes, depending on room temperature. Pot life is extended to 15 minutes if Diotrol Wood glue D3 is set on machine setting (M10).
Bring Diotrol Wood Glue D3 to room temperature before use. If the glue is undercooled or has been exposed to frost, allow it to thaw slowly in a room at normal temperature and stir well before use.

Tools: Application by brush, spatula, roller or glue application machine
We recommend the use of V4A steel or indifferent plastic (e.g. PP, polyamide or Teflon) for parts that come into contact with glue. Avoid contact with metals (e.g. iron, brass, zinc, copper, aluminium).
Clean machines and appliances after use with cold or warm water using a commercially available cleaning concentrate.
Consumption: 120 – 150 g/m² per application. May vary depending on the nature and absorbency of the substrate and the application method.
